About Sarah-Jane
Sarah-Jane McGarry is the founder of The Autism & ADHD Advocates CIC, a community interest company providing psycho-education, awareness, and professional training around autism and ADHD.
With over 15 years of research and lived experience, Sarah-Jane specialises in helping professionals and families understand how neurodivergent minds process the world. Her approach focuses on real-life understanding rather than clinical theory, supporting both adults and children to make sense of their thinking, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
She has developed a training course designed for professionals across education, health, and social care sectors. The training explores key areas, including executive functioning, sensory processing, and communication differences, helping staff adapt their approach and create genuinely inclusive environments.
Her sessions are ideal for teams looking to deepen their understanding of autism and ADHD, strengthen communication with families, and improve outcomes for neurodivergent individuals.
Sarah-Jane’s work bridges the gap between clinical services and everyday understanding. Her psycho-educational approach can be tailored to fit a parent, professional, or child audience, empowering people to recognise and respond to the needs behind behaviours.
